Artistic Director’s note
We would like to honor Karen Marmer and send condolences to her family and friends. Recently, during this pandemic, Karen died of cancer. Karen was the co-founder, co-director and violinist of the REBEL Baroque Ensemble. Not only was she a well respected musician, Karen was also a wonderful poet. She worked with us for many years as one of the WRITING THE WALLS poets, an image/word project that we began with Livia Straus at Hudson Valley MOCA in 2006. Working with Karen was always a wonderful experience. Her poems and her delivery was one of the highlights of the POET’S WALK. This week, on behalf of Climbing the Walls artists, many of whom knew Karen, we bring you a moment of Karen from the 2016 Poet's Walk.
In memory and with love, Mara and Jeremy

Studio Theater in Exile

“Theatre takes place all the time wherever one is, and art simply facilitates persuading us this is the case”
