Artist statement:
My art is directly influenced by the ethnic original Selknam people from Patagonia in Argentina and Chile. It is inspired by their positive spiritual-shamanic traditions, cosmology, body art painting and daily life. I intend to provoke a conversation about the importance of respecting other cultures, the universal notion of how to use everything without waste, how-to live-in consonance with the environment and in a harmonious community. My motto is “to look back to look forward”.

A brief of a long career, Elisa Pritzker exhibited at MoMA, Queens Museum, Skirball Museum-Jerusalem in large group exhibitions and Dorsky Museum, Espronceda-Barcelona, K-Salon-Berlin Germany, in group exhibits. Among solo exhibits, my art was shown at Hudson Valley MOCA [formerly HVCCA Museum], Hammond Museum, Saletta Kinzica Art Gallery-Pisa Italy, Casa Argentina-Jerusalem Israel, Galeria ArtexArte/Luz & Alfonso Castillo Foundation, Buenos Aires Argentina. My work was featured on PBS Channel [AHA! House of the Arts program], CNN-in Spanish, Huffpost [Huffington Post], Chronogram Magazine, Hyperallergic and my "EclecticaStore" was showcased in the New York Times.

“Theatre takes place all the time wherever one is, and art simply facilitates persuading us this is the case”
