Kathy Moreno will read from“ through their writings in The People’s Victory: Reflecting on Marriage Equality. We will explore the successes of Gay activism in the past and look at the future. A panel of the readers and the audience input will gather to discuss what the future holds and what our future activism around LGBTQA+NB issues must look like as we insure a future for the rights of all.
Joann Prinzivalli is an attorney, activist, co-founder of the transgender group at The LOFT LGBT Center in White Plains, and author of the the trans-inclusive language used in the Westchester County Human Rights Law and Fair Housing law, also drafted the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act that was just enacted as Chapter 8 of the Laws of 2019, 16 years after it was first introduced. In 2009. She is a member of The LOFT's Queer Voices group and also active in the local open mic community and hosts a monthly open Mic on the Second Friday of each month at Community U.U Congregation in White Plains, NY.
James Young (he/they) is an award winning LGBTQIA+ activist, advocate, and educator and performs as I.Den.t.T (they) where they spread queer joy through art.
