Biographies

Ed Friedman

Ed’s short plays have been staged throughout the NY metropolitan area and around the country. His monologues are contained in the anthologies MidLife Catharsis and Urgent Maturity published by the International Centre for Women Playwrights. Ed’s monologue from Secret Dreamers was included in Best Women’s Monologues of 2019 published by Smith & Krauss. His anthology Short Plays for Long Lives is published by Blue Moon Publishing.  His prose has appeared in Bright Flash Literary Review, Fleas on the Dog,Flash Fiction Magazine, The Haven, Crow’s Feet, Center for Creative Writing, Submittable,  and TheBronx Memoir Project Vols. I and III.

Nellie O'Brien

Nellie O’Brien is an actor, director, singer, and President of Compelle! Communications. The number of productions she has been involved runs into the hundreds. She has worked extensively with director Mara Mills to create new works that have been produced from New York City to Zoom.

As President of Compelle! Communications, she provides Media Skills, Speaker Skills, Message Development, Spokeswork, Speechwriting, Win/Win Conversations, Sales Training, etc. A former TV/Radio Anchor, News Director, Producer & Correspondent, Nellie O'Brien has conducted 1000s of interviews with celebrities, CEO's, doctors, and others. A popular keynote speaker/speechwriter and broadcast host, she's appeared on the major networks in all the top markets, has been quoted in NYTimes, ChicTribune, WashPost, RealSimple, Parenting, Redbook,Woman’s World,etc & has hosted 100's of editorial seminars. She acts as Media Spokeswoman and/or Communications Consultant for countless companies and issues in virtually every industry including Healthcare, Consumer, Travel and Finance. She frequently moderates medical science meetings, mrkt research programs & advisory boards. She specializes in working with CEOS, executive teams, celebrities and KOLs and leads a team of talented consultants who are available for training large groups.

Albi Gorn

Albi Gorn has been acting for 50 years, favorite shows: I Never Sang For My Father; Talk Radio; A Man For All Seasons; You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown; The H.M.S. Pinafore; A Life in the Theatre, Speed-the-Plow; Oleanna. But his favorite role is that of Herman in his own short play It’s About Forgiveness. In addition to acting, Albi has done a ton of directing and producing and is a multi-award winning playwright. With wife Robin Anne Joseph, his theater company, GoJo Clan Productions (gojoclanproductions.com) has been producing plays in Westchester, Putnam and Bronx County for several years.
